Food 365 | Day 111: Caneles and Kouign Amann at Dominique Ansel

This is why I love Dominique Ansel – two of my favorite pastries sitting right next to each other.  Do I want the crunchy exterior of the canele with the creamy custard interior or do I crave the buttery caramelized layers of the kouign amann?  Today, I opted for the canele, saving the kouign amann for another day soon hopefully.
