Food 365 | Day 110: Anchovy Toast and Radishes at Calliope

RJ and I had dinner reservations at Calliope in the East Village.  As much as I was excited to have the eggs mayonnaise and the rabbit pappardelle, I was more looking forward to the gratuitous anchovy toast and radishes that arrived before our appetizers.  Chewy pieces of bread are slathered salty anchovy butter, especially delicious when they arrive warm.  And the crunchy spicy radishes make for a perfect complimentary bite.
