Our Cozy Corner at Trestle on Tenth
When the temperature drops and snow starts to fall, all I want is to find a comfortable corner with a warm drink and a nice spread. The corner table by the bar against large bay windows at Trestle on Tenth was a perfect fit for two without a reservation.
A hot mug of cider for me and a stiff martini for MD.
A selection of three meats and cheeses, including a delicious pot of chicken liver mousse and speck, plus a plate of crispy house made pickles were more than enough for the two of us to nibble on.
But of course, I can’t resist a good steak tartare and the one at Trestle on Tenth was simply adorable with a tiny quail egg on top. A little more mustard would have been nice but we devoured it all nonetheless.
Butter lettuce tossed with a classic buttermilk dressing and crispy bacon bits for a little greenery in our meal.
And ending the meal with a slice of house made pumpkin mousse tart. Creamy with just the right amount of spices, the tart was the perfect substitute for its heavier cousin the pumpkin pie. We savored every last bite in our cozy little corner at the restaurant, perfectly content and protected from the cold.
