Food 365 | Day 294: Snacks from Canada

October 22, 2013

I should never be left alone at a grocery store in a foreign country.  I have little self control for snacks that I can’t find state side.  This time, I made away with a bag full of goodies for the flight.  Sweet chili and sour cream Miss Vickie’s?  Yes please!  And hello icewine candies!

Next time you go to Toronto, you’ve got to try out Black Hoof – gastropub that has phenomenal dishes all around, particularly on the carnivorous side. If you’re feeling adventurous, they also have horse meat on the menu (it’s great).

It’s a small space and gets crowded quick – not sure if they take reservations, but I recommend going there when they open first thing in the evening.
