Food 365 | Day 92: Laduree

I know, I know.  Another macaron post?  Please bear with me as these beauties from Laduree are kind of the gold standard to which all macarons aspire to be.  I found myself in the Upper East after a morning appointment and it was such a rare opportunity to be so close by to Laduree, the only shop so far in the US, that I had to stop by.  For once, the store was quiet and calm, without throngs of shoppers eyeing the goods on display.  I picked out a few of my favorites, rose, vanilla and orange blossoms, and also added in a new flavor, chocolate coconut, just because.  Delicately sweet and light as can be, there really are no macarons that even come close to those from Laduree.
