Food 365 | Day 48: Congee Village

After all this talk about congee/porridge, I finally made it to Congee Village for some of the real stuff.  Pork with century egg or chicken with black forest mushroom?  They are so affordable that we ordered both.  The congees came piping hot from the kitchen in clay pots – the rice was a little too mushy for my preference but the flavors were quite spot on.  This is one of those perfect comfort food for me.
