Food 365 | Day 43: Liege Waffle and Iced New Orleans at Blue Bottle

At last, we meet again!  It has been entirely too long since I had the buttery waffle at Blue Bottle.  This liege waffle is such a guilty pleasure of mine,  with its caramelized crisp edges and dense buttery sweet center.  We caught up today in between meetings at the Ferry Building.  Even though the iced New Orleans has been within reach for some time now, the waffle has yet to make its way to the east coast.  I guess it is probably for the best that this is only a rare occasion indulgence.  Otherwise, I would not be able to resist treating myself to this every other day.
