Backyard Retreat: Dominique Ansel

I stopped by Dominique Ansel for a bite to eat after walking and shopping my way through Soho.  Unsure of what I wanted on a hot summer day, I took a cue from a diner by the window and ordered the avocado toast.  My meal was complete with a refreshing floral black iced tea and a canele.  Not wanting to waste the beautiful sunlight, I settled into a chair in the backyard of Dominique Ansel.  With one bite of the luscious avocado toast with hints of tarragon and buttery slices of whole avocado, I started to relax.  The best part of the meal?  I still had a perfectly caramelized canele, one of the best in the city, to look forward to.
