Comfort Dish for a Rainy Day and Friday Night Readings
I don’t think it gets any better than slurping down a bowl of noodles on a rainy day. Tonight, the noodles are topped with ground pork, Chinese broccoli and shepherd’s purse (a rather unique tasting vegetable from where I grew up in China). The poached egg yolk, mingles with the light soy, make for a deliciously silky sauce. With the downpour outside, I am more than happy with my noodles tonight.
Now, I am nestled comfortably on the couch with my two current favorite cookbooks, both by Yotam Ottolenghi of London. Every page of these books is filled with vibrantly photographed dishes, just tempting me to thumb through even though I already have thoroughly explored every inch. Maybe I will soon find one that intrigues me enough this moment for me to dive right in.
